We’ll review the images as we go, so you’re not left guessing or hoping for the best.

Whats the difference between headshot and portrait photography?

Headshot photography is all about you, from the shoulders up. It’s typically used for professional profiles, think LinkedIn, company websites, actor castings, speaking gigs. The focus is on your face, your expression, and making a strong, approachable first impression. Clean background, good lighting, direct eye contact, no distractions.

Portrait photography, on the other hand, is a bit broader (literally and creatively). It might still feature just one person, but it can include more of the body, environment, movement, storytelling. It’s more flexible, more expressive, good for personal branding, social media, marketing, or just capturing someone’s personality in a less “posed” way.

How can i prepare for my shoot?

The best way to prepare is to feel relaxed and comfortable. Wear clothes that make you feel great, something that you would wear to meet a friend for coffee. Try to avoid large labels because they date the images a lot quicker and can be distracting.
There’s a changing room and toilets for you to do your outfits, hair and makeup. Free parking is available around the building and paid parking is nearby if you’re staying for longer.

when will i get my images?

You’ll usually get the proofs from me on the same day as the shoot, and always within a day, via an online gallery for you to proof to your heart’s content!
From this gallery, you can select your chosen images. I’ll then arrange for you to have the fully retouched, ready-to-use images within seven days.
If you want to order more images, you can do so at any time for £25 per image. If you want to arrange another shoot, let me know!
