Mentoring for Professional Photographers

Finding and hearing your creative voice can be hard in this lovely world of noisy social media. It’s so easy to fall into the trap of copying another photographer's style or not taking the time to question what your work is all about. 

We all see the world differently, and what’s important to you might not be to the next photographer.

But we both want you to have a professional photography business that's sustainable and rewarding, and that starts with working out what's at the heart of your image-making. 

I work with professional photographers to take everything back to basics.

Together, we’ll review your lighting setup, equipment, editing, and processes. I’ll also help you be more observant towards your clients; listening to them and making sure you give them images that feel like them is what will set you apart as a photographer.

I’ve been working in this industry for the last 15 years, and honestly, I don’t have all the answers. But I am a passionate teacher, and I don’t keep anything to myself. It can feel vulnerable to share what is and isn’t working for you creatively, so I handle our sessions with care and confidentiality. Read more about me here.

How this works 

I will always shape something to suit you. One-to-one mentoring via Google Meet or in person in the studio. These sessions are tailored to you and range from half-day or full-day in the studio to weekly or monthly sessions with ongoing support. Payments are made in full before the sessions or via monthly payments for ongoing support.

MAKE A CHOICE.

  • Half-day virtual session (four hours) via Google Meet.

    We’ll cover the hot topics that are most important to you.

    That might include lighting, posing, equipment, marketing, client experience, inspiration, your creative voice, style, getting clients through the door!

    £700, or payment in two parts £350.

  • Longer-term support over three months.

    One mentoring call a month plus WhatsApp support.

    Month one: we will take a close look at your website, current work. workflows, social media and anything else you want to cover.

    We’ll also create a personal project to run along side to be completed by the end of the 3 months.

    Month two: same again to cement the first month’s learnings.

    Month three: same again, plus review.

    £1500 total / £500 per month.

  • One intense month!

    Four calls via Google Meet plus WhatsApp Support.

    We can work through your website issues, images, social media, goals for your business and at the end of the month you’ll feel ready for the next phase of your business.

    £1500 or £375 per week.

    Payment plans available.

  • A day in my studio in Halifax. We will shoot, discuss the client experience, your workflows, your marketing channels and lighting.

    In the afternoon, a model will work with us to though the whole experience plus any editing afterwards.

    Start time: 10 am with a brew .

    Finish time: 4 pm with the chance to review the day.

    Lunch and refreshments are included in this price and we can discuss any preferences when you book!

    £1500. This is payable up-front to secure the date and book my studio.
